Allure Beauty Box for March!

Image
Is it possible that March reviews will post in the month of March ? There’s no way. Welcome back! Having such a creative end of winter, so adventurous with new products, so many changes happening in my life, and it’s getting warmer and sunnier every day. I’m starting this post on the first day of spring, and hoping to spend this business trip I’m on getting these posts written and edited and up. I’m staying in a cheap motel about an hour and a half from home and on the border of the next state, because my work week is focused on training at this other store. I’m going to be a certified operator. Hopefully that means a raise and some more authority in my workplace. Anyway! Time to talk about the Allure Beauty box I received for March, and also the Spotlight on Black Owned Beauty that I purchased alongside it. The base box I was not happy with. I’m sorry, it just didn’t do much for me. It was full of deluxe sizes and the ones that were full-sized were disappointing mostly. I thin

Allure Beauty Box for February ^-^ Swatches and Rants

Hii again! Time to talk about the February Allure Beauty Box that I got! I’ve already started receiving my March things, so it’s time to get this written and posted before I start diving into all that. This month’s box only had six items, not seven - I thought they always had seven, but I even found the product list and it clearly shows six products not seven. I’ll have to do more research. I swear I even took an Allure Beauty Quiz and it was like, what’s your favorite thing about the beauty box? And one of the answers was seven curated items or something like that. So I thought the seven was a given.     [Edit - it was a me misunderstanding thing I guess. The adverts online say 6+ items, so it's six or more. Good to know! Six is still a lot 😋 ] Anyway, this box was pretty good and I’ve had a lot of time to try the stuff out. I’ll start off with the item I was able to choose - this month it was the brand Beauty Bakerie , which I am actually super familiar with. Jeffree Star

Kinder Beauty Box February 2023 Review no Swatches!

Hiii - I have a confession I guess, that I have to make? I have no idea where all my photos for this Kinder Beauty Box have gone. I have no idea where I moved them to, and I’m starting to gaslight myself and wonder if I just never actually took them? Even though I like … I know I did? I know I did. Photos are like my favorite part of the process because that’s when I actually get to open everything and like swatch and get the good lighting and everything? But I can’t find them. So I still have thoughts, but I have no swatches for you, and I’m starting to think I’m going crazy. I didn’t do anything special with my Kinder Beauty for February - it’s a short month and I’ve been overwhelmed with the size of the Allure Beauty Box and the new size Glam Bag X I’ve been getting.  This box was one of the most underwhelming for me. Just some strange products that didn’t fit my aesthetic or preferences - not that it’s a customized box, I know, but maybe I’m one of the outliers because thes

My First Glam Bag X! Swatches and Thoughts ^-^

My first Glam Bag X from IPSY came this month! I spent way too much money on it! And I need to write about it. I’ve never had a box I liked this much, full of things I’ve loved trying. I can only think of a few items I didn’t absolutely love. So the Glam Bag X is a quarterly option. It replaces my Glam Bag Plus four times a year, which is just another thing to look forward to. It’s also usually linked to a celebrity, who is the “curator.” So they’ll say, you don’t want to miss this Glam Bag X, it’s such and such curating it, they selected all their favorite items, etc. This one was curated by someone named Bailey Sarian. I recognize her from her thumbnails, they say she founded the Murder, Mystery and Makeup genre on YouTube. I don’t follow her content because I’m more into watching actual interrogation footage than commentary and true crime stuff. But she’s gorgeous and of course they’d pick people like this to curate a box. I will say, the presentation for this box is way beyo
