My Holy Grail
This Stuff is the Sh!t
Soooo this needed an update! No shade to the Wander Beauty foundation or anything, but it's been what, nine months and we've gone over so much. But now I have to pick a new holy grail because this was way out of date.
I don't know how I'm going to do that, though, there have been some amazing products that have completely changed the way I do my makeup, but I think I've decided.
For now, I'll set the Aesthetica Cream Contour Kit as my holy grail. This is for a few reasons, which we'll go over.
1. It's my most revolutionary product.
When I received this product, I was neither contouring my face nor using many cream products. I was using a fluffy bronzer brush to apply bronzer on my cheekbones to add structure, but these were very warm and just gave me color. This was both a new type of product but also a new type of texture at the same time. It taught me a little bit about the difference between contour and bronzer, and also taught me a lot about different foundations and what sort of blendability I'm looking for in my base products when they mix with my other creams.
2. It's the most I've pushed my comfort zone
At the start, I was using the tiniest bit of the lower row of shades and was only using my fingers to dot the product on. Now, I draw my contour lines with a flat brush and blend with a slanted kabuki. I've experimented with different shades of the palette in different areas, building the product up, layering it with foundation, and even using it to contour my nose and give myself a little more sharpness. On the days when I don't plan to go out in public, I've gone way in with the darkest shade just to see what it does to my face, and I've really loved it even though it was a little out there.
3. It's lasted forever
I have had this palette for maybe seven months, I feel like I got it in one of my first posts, and even though I gravitate towards the one shade I like most, it hasn't even hit pan yet and it's given me a lot of time to play around with it.
And that's my new holy grail! I should update this more often - but not too often, you know? And it's funny, because even though I don't look at this palette and feel that feeling when you are so in love with a product, you want to constantly tell people about how it is, you can't wait to buy yourself a new one when it's at pan, I still somehow recognize it as having been my most recent step towards feeling like a pro with makeup. I don't give it enough love.
Thanks for reading!
